The ranks of cadets of the Togliatti branch of the Military Engineering and Technical University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation were replenished with natives of the Chechen land. In the Nadterechny district of the republic, 27 young men were selected for admission to this military university.
Nikolai Koshman, the former plenipotentiary representative of the Russian Government in the Chechen Republic, came up with an initiative to send children from Chechnya to study in military educational institutions in Russia. He came out with a proposal to the leadership of the Russian Defense Ministry to allow Chechen young men to enter military universities on a general basis this year. Naturally, after the corresponding examination competition. The university of military construction profile was chosen in this case not by chance. It is assumed that future officers-envoys of Chechnya - will return to serve in their republic upon graduation, where they will join the Russian Military construction units and restore the destroyed buildings.
According to the military commissar of the Nadterechny district of Chechnya, Lieutenant Colonel Konstantin Shupta, the selection of candidates for admission to military educational institutions was exactly the same here as in any region of Russia. Only now the medical commission had to be held in neighboring North Ossetia: in the Chechen Republic there is no serious basis for this yet. At the medical examination, with great regret, I had to delete 11 children from the list of applicants for a ticket to a military university: my health failed. But there are still a lot of people who want to choose the profession of an officer in the Nadterechny district. This district, by the way, is still the only one in the republic, and has already sent three of its envoys to the Omsk Cadet Corps. They really like to study at this military school.
17 - year-old Ibragim Visaitov is among those who were included in the list of applicants of the Tolyatti branch. He is the eldest of eight children in his family and has always dreamed of being a soldier. But the Maskhadov regime offered the guy a simple choice: if you want to wear a military uniform, become a "warrior of Islam". Ibrahim refused such a "flattering" offer. But now his dream of becoming a career officer in the Russian Army seems destined to come true. By the way, the military commissar, Lieutenant Colonel Shupta, the district commandant, Colonel Vladislav Safronyuk, and the head of the Nadterechny district administration, Ahmed Zavgaev, prepared a BAT addressed to the head of the Tolyatti branch, Major General Yu. Ivanova wrote a special letter asking them to treat the envoys from Chechnya without any particular quibbles. It is necessary to take into account the conditions in which they lived and were brought up recently... At the solemn send-off of Chechen applicants in Tolyatti, they were told to study well, be disciplined military personnel, and cherish the cadet brotherhood. And most importantly - never forget about the land that raised them, which is always waiting, believing in them and their bright future.
