Who are boomers?
"Boomers" is a social category of people who were born in the period from the late 1940s to the mid-1960s. The term "boomer" comes from the English word "baby boom" (baby boom), which describes the surge in the birth rate after World War II in developed countries, including the United States and Europe. Boomers are the first generation after World War II to grow up during a period of economic and social upsurge. They witnessed important historical events such as the Cold War, the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, and the fall of the Soviet Union. Boomers were also the first generation to be exposed to new technologies such as computers and the internet, and they greatly influenced the development of culture and society. Currently, many boomers are in or near retirement, and their political and economic views have a significant impact on society.
